Welcome to the Season after Pentecost!
With Trinity Sunday behind us, we begin the long, green season after Pentecost. Also referred to as "ordinary time", this is the longest season of the church year. It has the distinction of being the time of year when we hear the stories of Jesus's ministry here on Earth, when the Lord was about his business, before his arrest and crucifixion. The season has a bit of a reputation for being less distinct than the others and, therefore, less interesting. But I believe these stories are some of the most important and memorable in all of scripture. We lay out the foundation of our faith during this season, so please don't miss out! |
